Abstract

The chemistry and properties of butyl rubbers and polyisobutylene are described. Compounding for sealants, adhesives and coatings, and applications for adhesives, mastics and sealants are discussed. Forms of the sealant mentioned are solvent release, sealing tape, automotive sealants, insulated window sealants, new techniques, wax blend and hot melt. (N.G.G.)
