Abstract

The evolution of polymers incorporating the closo-carboranes C2B5H7 and C2B10H12 is reviewed. Both addition and condensation polymers and copolymers are described which include various examples of polyesters, polyvinyls and polyamides. Primary emphasis is placed upon the polycarboranesiloxane polymers which exhibit unparalleled thermal stability. © 1972, Walter de Gruyter. All rights reserved.
