Abstract

Topic mapping plays several important roles in augmentation of humancognitive capabilities and relational thinking. We summarize threesuch roles as resource indexing, culture fusion, and modeling. Basedon a working hypothesis that combinations of technologies can benefittopic mapping capabilities, we sketch a proposed marriage betweenConceptual Graphs and the TMRM variant, Subject Maps. The marriageof technologies is shown to be one of several ways forward for topicmapping.
