Chorea can be due to a wide range of etiologies, including neurodegenerative, metabolic, drug-induced, autoimmune, and structural causes. While the phenotype may be very similar regardless of the cause, features of the family and medical history, and the neurological, medical, and laboratory evaluation, can provide valuable diagnostic clues.
