Abstract

Historical perspective on development of Japan's civil society. More focused on post world war iI. Development of voluntary organizations... including their historical origins. Voluntary org. function and characterisitcs and reforms from the 1980-2008 to reduce burden for gov't recognition and tax relief. Voluntary organizations fall under the idea of liberal capitalism.. and in Japan, regulate corporate social responsility.
