Computation of the reacting distillation column using a liquid mixing model on the plates

Abstract

A new method of solving reacting distillation columns using a transient model of the column and the diffusion model approximated by the cascade of stirred-cells for description of mixing on the plates was proposed. The accuracy of the algorithm considered was tested for the industrial acetic anhydride rectification column. © 1991.
