In this article an approach for the integration of Session Initiation Protocol (SlP)-based session and context management, the Virtual Organization concepts from the Grid community and SOAP-based service interactions is presented. The technical approach is motivated by two simplified scenarios that have been realized in the frame of a large scale European collaborative research project called Akogrimo. Furthermore, different context gathering approaches are discussed and how in such a distributed application setting a potential adaptation to these different contexts, such as location or device capabilities can be used for realizing mobility-aware service-oriented Grids.
