Abstract

Audio recording. In the latter half of Co-operatives 101 we hear people's personal experiences with the co-operative business model in the community of Victoria, BC. We visit with Adrenaline Motorcycle Co-op, Gallery of Artisans, and with Dave Friend (Mr. Organic) who shares his experience with organic farming co-operatives in the UK. In episode 4, we conclude by learning about some effective practices in co-operative development. We talk to Hazel Corcoran, Executive Director of the Canadian Worker Co-op Federation and coordinator of the Co-op Zone website, and Vanessa Hammond, internationally celebrated co-op developer, who gives us her insight into what it takes for co-operative success.
