The very rapid and uncontrolled development of information resources in Internet is a topic of great concern, particularly for health authorities that are drawing the attention on the dangers the dissemination of publications without a proper quality control may cause. The available literature was reviewed with the aim of identifying the most used criteria to evaluate the resources and web sites.
