Abstract
An overview is given of breeding work in Hebei to produce pigmented glandless cotton (Gossypium) germplasm. Some of the genotypes produced have given high yields and are resistant to Verticillium wilt and are of suitable maturity for Hebei. Some lines have been developed for use as parents.
