Abstract

The society of the 21st century demands competent people in new facets, such as having an adequate capacity to manage the great amount of information to which we are exposed and to think more critically about it. Favouring thinking strategies in our students is vital to prepare them for the demands of the knowledge society. In addition, these types of strategies and skills are fundamental to foster a deep understanding of the curricular contents. For this it is necessary to include this type of strategies in the classroom both by the teachers and the teaching materials used in the classroom, but How can we analyze if the teaching materials used in the classroom favour strategies of deep thinking? To do this, we have used the classification of types or movements of thought by [1] and developed a checklist in question format to facilitate the analysis of teaching materials used in the classroom. This checklist is very useful for teachers as it not only facilitates the analysis of the material used in the class already elaborated, but it can also facilitate the analysis of the new materials that the teachers create for their classes. The checklist has been sent to a total of 3 experts to analyze the content of the questions, from their judgments have been selected the most suitable items.
