Abstract

It is shown that the present day observed linear relationship between the logarithm of the spin angular momentum of the planets and the logarithm of the mass can be explained in terms of mass loss from a set of protoplanets initially identical in mass, chemical composition and spin angular momentum. © 1979 D.
