DOCUMENT SYNTHESE SUR LA FLUORURATION DES EAUX DE CONSOMMATION

Abstract

The history of water fluoridation since the discovery of the beneficial effects of fluorides on dental caries until the implementation of this measure in North America is described in this paper. The authors discuss the numerous advantages of controlled water fluoridation and reply to the main objections to this measure. Following the application of the law on fluoridation, a brief summary of the actual situation is described for Quebec.
