Abstract

The domain wall (DW) dynamics in a doped ferromagnet with "easy axis" anisotropy in an external magnetic field is discussed taking relaxation processes into account. Nonlinear equations of the dynamics are derived and studied by the phase plane method; the DW is shown to pin onto a defect of the ferromagnetic lattice. The critical magnetic field for detachment of the DW from the pinning centre is calculated. © 1984.
