Abstract

Drug-induced liver injury can be divided into predictable, dosage dependent and non-predictable, idiosyncratic reactions. The incidence is generally underestimated and causality assessment often difficult. For pharmacists at the drug information service, asking for specific background information and use of appropriate resources to search for information will help to provide the physician with useful data for the clinical handling of the suspected adverse drug reaction.
