Abstract

Bulinus rohlfsi, Bu. forskali, a form of Bu. globosus and Biomphalaria sudanica occurred in Lake Chad. Bu. rohlfsi, Bu. forskali, Bu. senegalensis and another form of Bu. globosus were found in irrigation channels. Bu. senegalensis was the only bulinid recovered from temporary pools. The seasonal patterns of the snails are considered in relation to climatic and habitat changes. The possible roles of the bulinids in Schistosoma haematobium transmission are discussed.-from Author Biomphalaria sudanica ulinus forskali ulinus globosus ulinus rohlfsi ulinus senegalensis chistosoma haematobium.
