Abstract
Este art culo asume la relaci n educaci n-comunicaci n como un n cleo probl matico de particular importancia para examinar las interacciones y transformaciones que se generan para la vida escolar y la cotidianidad social a partir del auge generalizado de la cultura de la imagen y los medios electr nicos. La televisi n ocupa en este contexto un lugar central y su influencia se deja sentir en uno y otro mbito con diferentes tipos de manifestaciones. El an lisis de esta incidencia y los retos que provoca cognitiva y pedag gicamente son el objetivo primordial de la indagaci n que aqu se propone, espec ficamente lo concerniente a la recepci n activa de televisi n, la constituci n de comunidades de uso y apropiaci n de la misma y su incorporaci n a los espacios y procesos pedag gicos como una necesidad inaplazable en la marcha actual del sistema educativo. Taking into account the generalized spreading of image and electronic media, the relation between education and communication is a very important element to examine interactions and transformations generated towards the school and the social life. Television has a special impact on these contexts and its effects are manifested in very different ways. The incidence of television and the cognitive and pedagogical challenges issues are the amin objectives of this study. The authors would like to approach especially aspects related to the active reception of television as a tool in the development of the teaching-learning process, wich becomes a need within the current educational system.
