Abstract

The article focuses on a study that was conducted to determine the effects of phosphatidylserine supplementation (PS) on cognitive functioning of young males. Subjects of the study were familiarized with the serial subtraction test (SST) and performed 1 repetition maximum (1RM) lifts in the smith machine squat (SQ), leg press (LP), and leg extension (LE). Subjects of the study consumed about 400mg of PS per day. The study suggests that PS increases cognitive function prior to the exercise.
