Abstract

An efficient protocol for the synthesis of syn-facially bridged norbornane frameworks has been developed via tandem cyclization-cycloaddition reactions of rhodium carbenoids generated from α-diazo ketones. Using this new methodology, various functionalized syn-facially bridged norbornane frameworks have been synthesized in a stereoselective manner. © 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
