Abstract
(from the chapter) This chapter begins by reviewing the major theories of emotional development that take a life-course perspective, considering their assertions regarding the topics of change and continuity in emotions within the domains of subjective experience, regulatory behavior, expressive behavior, social process, and personality. The evidence in support of these theories is then presented, and the theories are critiqued. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2010 APA, all rights reserved) (chapter)
