Abstract

This paper presents the preliminary results of a study on educational trends and research directions in engineering and technology management (ETM). It is part of a longitudinal study being conducted since mid-1970s. The previous segments of the study had revealed a very strong growth pattern for the educational component of ETM. In 1994, the number of educational institutions offering degrees in ETM was 162. It is anticipated that the number has reached 200 now. The objective of the study investigates a wide array of critical issues involved in ETM education
