Abstract

Collaborative learning attracts unprecedented attention in the current information society. The advent of the weblog provides an interactive, sharing and communicating platform. It has great potential for collaborative learning. This study chose a compulsory course as an example to explore how to effectively use the weblog for collaborative learning and to investigate students' perceptions on the way of using the weblog in the course. Findings show that the weblog is a useful tool for collaborative learning, and the way of using the weblog for collaborative learning proposed in the study is effective. © 2013 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
