Abstract
Conducted a factor analysis of the 31-item Overcontrolled-Hostility (O-H) scale in a sample of 200 incarcerated male prisoners. Five major factors were derived: Absence of Manifest Symptomatology, Denial, Chronic Hostility, Persistent Dreaming, and Social Compliance. Subscales comprised of high-loading items (greater than or equal to .30) were constructed for each factor, and the personality correlates of each were determined.
