Abstract

The present study reports the first occurrence of Ophionereis dolabriformis for Brazil and increases its bathymetric distribution upwards to 14 m. The specimens examined were from the States of Paraı´ba and Bahia, in north-eastern Brazil.Descriptions, geographical distributions and ecological notes about the species are provided.
