Abstract

The aim of this book is to provide an introduction to geologists and archaeologists who wish to know about the potential of fission track analysis. After an introductory section, the text is divided into the following chapters: particle tracks and fission tracks; track revelation and observation; fission track dating method; fading of fission tracks; geological interpretation; applicability; applications. Appendices cover etching conditions, annealing properties and fundamentals of error calculation. A bibliographic reference list and subject index are included. -A.W.Hall
