Abstract

Improved methods of predicting significant climate changes caused by human-induced increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations are being developed. The Susquehanna River Basin Experiment is devising ways to resolve the conflicting spatial scales between global climate models and regional hydrologic forecasts. The experiment combines high- resolution, medium scale meteorological forecast models with coarse-resolution global models. Satellite observations are an integral part of the process
