Fugletælling på Færøerne sommeren 1981 - foreløbig rapport
Dansk Ornitologisk Forenings Tidsskrift (1981)
Abstract
During the period June 12th-July 3rd, 1981, a quan- titative Atlas census was carried out over the entire archipelago by 37 Nordic field ornithologists and organised by the Føroya Natturugripasavn in Torshavn. The census was restricted to the inland birds, the large seabird colonies not being part of the pre- sent project. The country was divided into 19 districts, each district being censused by two man. All species recorded were noted on standard forms, breeding as well as non-breeding. They are listed in Table 2, which includes about 100 species. Details on breeding territories, numbers etc. will appear in a more comprehensive paper to be published later.
