Abstract

The main question addressed in this work deals with the difficulty to compare different data trajectories patterns in particular due to the non symmetry properties. In order to tackle this fundamental issue in its generality from a theoretical point of view, we introduce the quasipseudo-metrics concepts, and with the induced pre-topological space on the datasets we can identify proximity between trajectories. We will illustrate the ideas by discussing the application of the theoretical framework on gestual analysis. © Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2014.
