The article discusses the benefits of aquatic therapy in injury rehabilitation programme and introduces the common contradictions and indications for the use of aquatic therapy in a patient's ongoing management. The association of aquatic therapy with the combination of the stability and buoyancy created by the water, the active nature of the exercise, and the warming effect of the pool are highlighted. The physical properties of water that are helpful in aquatic therapy are mentioned.
