Abstract

Non-steroidal antiandrogen monotherapy offers potential quality of life benefits over other treatment modalities in patients with prostate cancer. Nevertheless, gynecomastia and breast pain still represent the most bothersome side effects during this treatment. In this update article, recent advances in the management options for gynecomastia/ breast pain caused by hormonal manipulation are reviewed and critically analyzed. © 2006 Nature Publishing Group.
