Abstract

At the economic-technical meeting of the Health Workers' Trade Union (Siofok, 14-16 May, 1987) the author, Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, demonstrated the reasons of the worldwide increase in prices of health care. She dew attention to the importance of the connection between physicians and patients, the causes of morbidity and mortality outside health system, the need for more precise cost management and the increase in capability for establishing incomes. The author thinks that prevention ought to originate in economy (industrial technologies sparing health, environmental protection, public education, way of living, etc.). It would be worth inviting the representatives of those using health care services to these meetings.
