Abstract

Of 269 cotton lines screened for resistance to race 18, 101-102 B, 165779- XA, 167379-XA, 80/PPH-20, 95-96 A BU 61, Reba B 50 PR, IAC 75/264, Reba BTK 12, Tailandia and Tamcot SP 37 were completely resistant. These 10 lines were also inoculated with 2 isolates of the African race of the pathogen virulent to the genes B2B3. The reaction was variable, but lines 95-96 A BU 61, 165779-XA and Reba B 50 PR showed a good level of resistance.
