Improved testing of continuous fiber-reinforced plastics

Abstract

A special test method has been developed that allows the influence of strain rate on the properties of fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) to be systematically studied. In this way, material data can be determined for material models required to simulate the properties of lightweight components for automotive applications.
