Abstract

Traditional legal education is teacher-centred, with knowledge imparted through lectures and tutorials. However, due to technological developments, and a changing legal practice environment, modern legal education should incorporate a broader range of technology-based pedagogical approaches. This article examines the integration of technology to enhance collaboration and practice-based teaching in modern legal education in association with established education theory. Technology has shaped modern legal practice, particularly through new forms of communication with clients and colleagues, and through the application of analytical software. This article proposes that technology should be integrated into legal education, to ensure graduates are familiar with new forms of communication and data analysis.
