Abstract

Plant pests and disease were comprehensively investigated in nine parks of Nanjing. The results showed that 38 species of insect pests and 18 species of diseases caused harm to plants, including 7 species of defoliating insects, 26 species of sucking insects, and 5 species of trunk-boring insects. Various pests and diseases occurred commonly in parks and caused serious harms to plants. Seasonal climate, configuration and maintenance of plants had great impacts on occurrence of pests.
