Abstract

Occupational keratoacanthomas have been reported by several authors. In some reports, occupational trauma was considered to be of prime importance. In others, chronic exposure to oil, tar, or pitch was considered etiologically significant. This report concerns 6 patients who developed keratoacanthomas associated with occupational trauma. In 3 of these patients, the injury and the subsequent keratoacanthoma occurred in areas which had also experienced prolonged exposure to industrial oils.
