Abstract

Intelligent tutoring systems have been shown to enhance student learning in a range of domains. However, they tend to be preestablished and cannot supply the solution immediately with the absence of nature language understanding system. The knowledge representation is the fundament of nature language understanding. In this paper, the concept model and the relations of concept are introduced as the theoretical fundament of knowledge representation. Furthermore, the knowledge representation of the concepts and their relations is involved. Finally, this paper gives an application to the nature language understanding interface of ITS in elementary mathematics. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media.
