Abstract

Lumbosacral plexopathies are relatively uncommon and may present a diagnostic challenge. They may be difficult to distinguish from the more prevalent lumbosacral radiculopathies. Also, nonstructural lesions, such as idiopathic lumbosacral plexitis or diabetic amyotrophy, are usually diagnoses of exclusion. This chapter discusses the various causes and management of lumbosacral plexopathies.
