Measuring, modeling, and augmenting reliability of man-machine systems

Abstract

This paper discusses analytical and empirical trends in dealing with human reliability. It reflects on the nature of human error and man-machine reliability, and poses some serious problems of definition which affect numerical results. Techniques for enhancing man-machine system reliability are presented. © 1983.
