METODOLOGÍA CUANTITATIVA Y CUALITATIVA EN LA INVESTIGACIÓN SOBRE LA FORMACIÓN INICIAL

Abstract

La investigación que presentamos, configurada en el ámbito de las Ciencias Sociales y Musicales, es descriptiva y está dirigida fundamentalmente a conocer la formación instrumental que tienen los alumnos que eligen la especialidad de Maestro en Educación Musical en el momento de iniciar sus estudios, la formación que adquieren en el transcurso de la carrera, y la preparación que tienen al finalizar sus estudios y su proyección didáctica para la aplicación en la Educación Primaria. El universo que ha abarcado la investigación es el circunscrito al alumnado y profesorado de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid en el curso académico 2000-2001. El modelo de investigación adoptado ha sido multimetódico mediante la utilización de metodología cuantitativa y cualitativa. The investigation herein, within the Social and Musical Sciences, is descriptive and is directed fundamentally at understanding the instrumental skills of the Teacher in Musical Education students at the moment of starting their studies, the skills they acquire during their studies, and the skills developed when graduating, as well as the implications for teaching in primary schools. The universe investigated is circumscribed to students and staff of the Faculty of Education of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid during the academic year 2000-2001. The research model has been multimethodical, through the use of quantitative and qualitative methodology.
