Abstract

Mineral resources are portrayed in order of quantity extracted and of value. The main groups are energy resources, metallic raw minerals and non-metallic raw materials. The extraction of the minerals and its impact is described. The chapter closes with brief case studies from different areas and concerned with different mineral resources. -K.Clayton
