Abstract

The article focuses on increasing use of social media networking websites such as Facebook Inc. and Twitter in mining industry that have Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). It states the comment of John Aston, owner of a project consulting firm AstonEco Management, that these types of social media platforms are providing voice back to people. It mentions that most of the mining institutions do not take this emerging trend seriously.
