Abstract

Hysteresis characteristics of the general spin-S S>1) Heisenberg model have been studied within the effective field approximation. Particular emphasis has been paid on the large negative valued crystal field region. Since spin-S Ising model displays maximum number of 2S windowed hysteresis loops in this region, this investigation gives the answer of the question: what is the effect of the anisotropy in the exchange interaction on this multiple hysteresis behavior? As an answer, rising number of windows in the hysteresis loops have been observed.
