Starting point is that these narratives diffuse transtextually. To cover the broad spectrum of such discourse analyses we will focus on two different methods and on two different objectives of study: First, we introduce the digital tool Rabbid that enables corpus-based discourse studies of narratives drawing on the tradition of discourse lexicography. As an example a corpus of 19 th century literature in Germany is used. Second, the paper focuses on narratives in digital media. In this context, our paper is a contribution to the discussion about digital discourse analysis by investigating digital discourses about nanotechnology on Wikipedia.
