Abstract

Net managers are plagued by the reality that networks quickly outgrow the products designed to manage them. With the emerging technologies this is expected to get worse. In view of this the paper addresses both the good news and bad news regarding this problem. As such, both platform vendors and network managers must work hand in hand to meet the desired end.
