Abstract
The paper describes some of the key issues that may help address implementation and deployment of IMS-LD, to mention a few, a need for a software architecture, that: provide alternative LD tools, from easy to use tools for relatively simple designs and editing, to sophisticated tools for the expert designer; provide simple LD tools for the individual (e.g., the average campus professor, who is responsible for the whole course design: from creating resources to facilitating it.
