Abstract

This book is part of an on-going series presenting collections of literature reviews and research papers on various topics in biological psychiatry. This volume, housing nine reviews, focusses on recent research on depression. Each paper is highly detailed and heavily referenced. Chapter topics include the following: cognitive impairment, mood induction, the role of the medial prefrontal cortex, markers of age of onset in major depressive disorder, and the pathophysiology of depression. The text is illustrated and indexed.
