Abstract

A new species of Berosus is described from northwestern Argentina (province of Salta). It has compressed male genitalia, paramera forming a dihedrous angle, simple, with rounded apices, and a slender, weakly curved median lobe with apex not swollen; because of this, of small lateral depressions on first apparent urosternite and of spine-shaped hairs on all the elytral interstriae, the new species is placed in the reticulatus-complex (OLIVA, 1989).
