Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To assess the effects of nitrates as compared to other interventions or placebo for reducing cardiac risk (such as death caused by cardiac factors, angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction, acute heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmia) in patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery. We also aim to identify the influence of different routes and dosages of nitrates on patient outcomes.
