Abstract

The article discusses the history of derivatives products and world financial system in the U.S. It provides an overview of how Congressional over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives financial reform will mitigate the risks if properly implemented by federal regulators. It visualizes the financial system if Dodd-Frank is implemented as its drafters intended.
